Brand New Vegan Menu at The Four Seasons’ Windows Lounge

The Four Seasons is a real class act. They recently had a private event for a select few vegan super stars if you will, and by some crazy fluke they asked me to be one of their guests. This event was basically a who’s who in the vegan world with such amazing diners as John Salley of Pistons fame, celebrity chefs and my bloggie bff Bess from I Dream Of Greenie!

We all gathered at The Windows Lounge, located inside the hotel, to sample chef Ashley’s brand new VEGAN STREAT menu items inspired by his favorite street foods.

Here’s what we had!

Jicama tostadas:

Jicama tostadas: crispy corn tostada, roasted tomatillo salsa, jicama cilantro slaw, avocado 8

I came late due to class so this was actually the only menu item I didn’t get to taste. Looks bomb though….

Morelian Gazpacho salad:

In the far right --- Morelian Gazpacho salad: jicama, watermelon, papaya, pineapple, cucumber, orange juice, chilli salt 9

I thought this soup/salad take on gazpacho was so unique! It was super fruity and refreshing and made for a great palate cleanser in between the other dishes.

Young Hollywood salad:

Young Hollywood salad: Farmers market greens, strawberries, blueberries, avocado, cucumbers, tomatoes, hemp seeds, Napa wine vinaigrette.

I’m not a big fruit in my salad type of girlfriend so this wasn’t necessarily my jam, but when I picked around the blueberries and strawberries it soon became it. I loved the dressing and the hemp seeds that smothered this light and fresh starter. The avocado, cucumber and tomato chunks gave it a bit of a Greek feel too!

French Fries!!!:

We all know how I feel about french fries, and these suckers were no exception. Super crispy and thickly cut steak style fries totally delivered on flavor, especially with the awesome addition of larger than usual salt flakes. Yum.

Hand made quesadillas with corn and mushrooms:

This quesadilla was BOMBBBBBBBB. Love love loved it and would say it’s absolutely a must order especially with those dope house made tortillas!

Eggplant coconut curry:

This was by far my favorite dish of the night. This curry was simply to die for and probably the best curry I have ever tasted. MUST MUST MUST order. This could be a bucket list maker…

For dessert the chef served us two little tastes of potential dishes to add to the menu which, after the great response, have officially been added!

Mini vegan chocolate chip cookie with chocolate pot de creme from the Four Seasons' Pastry Chef Federico Fernandez

The pot de creme was a little too rich for my taste but the cookie was simply marvelous. In fact, when dipped into the chocolate mini mousse, this kind of became the best dessert evah. Cookie monstah.

All and all this was a lovely evening with an incredibly diverse and sophisticated menu. This is a great place to come with your girls or a date for drinks and apps before a night out and I will absolutely be a repeat customer. Thanks Four Seasons for creating such a wonderful vegan tasting menu!
